FAQ

1.What is the light condition of Ornamental peppers ?

Ornamental peppers have less stringent light requirements, but insufficient light can delay the fruiting period and reduce the fruiting rate. Therefore, during the growth period, it should be placed outdoors in a sunny place for maintenance, even in midsummer without shading. Long-term attention should be paid to ventilation and light transmission to improve fruit set rate and fruit ornamental value. Although ornamental peppers have strong low light tolerance, long-term low light can also cause flower drop, fruit drop or deformed fruit, so pay attention to maintaining light during planting.

2.How to water the Ornamental peppers ?

Ornamental peppers are more drought tolerant, and excess water can cause poor pollination and delay results. During the flowering period, water can be regularly sprayed on the plants, and the amount of watering can be appropriately reduced to help pollination and fruit setting, but the soil should not be too wet to avoid flower drop. During the fruiting period, dry air is required, and if there is too much rain, pollination will be poor. Usually keep the basin soil moist and not waterlogged, and pay attention to drainage and waterlogging prevention in the rainy season.

3.What is the soli requirements of Ornamental peppers?

Ornamental peppers are not strict with soil requirements, almost all soils can grow, and sufficient soil fertility should be maintained during the growth process. The potting soil can be prepared by mixing garden soil, leaf mold soil and sandy soil, and adding a small amount of decomposed cake fertilizer or superphosphate as base fertilizer.
